……. has been training people through the art of theatre since the early 80’s.  He has worked in conferences, schools, institutions for disabled people, actors workshops, improvisation laboratories and prisons.

In 1990 he received a scholarship to attend Keith Johnstone’s Loose Moose Summer School in Calgary.  He subsequently trained new trainers in New Zealand and helped develop improvisation as a viable performance business, also helping to develop the corporate improvisation training program.

in the early 90’s he came to Europe and helped establish some of the first improvisation groups in Germany.  After moving permanently to Germany in the late 90’s he became involved in the TV business and worked as an expert, advising on many TV shows that use improvisation as a comedic art form. Such as “Schillerstraße”,  “Frei Schnauze” and  “Gott sei dank das du da bist” and more recently “Durchgedreht”.

Since 2000 John runs regular comedy workshops in Köln.  These workshops help people to understand their own innate comedy ability and enhance their performance skils.

Since 2004 John has worked for the Cologne firm Synnecta.  There he developed the businessmans’ warrior training program and helped business people learn about creativity and presentation skills through change management programs.

In 2008 John was asked to be the ambassador for English speaking in schools by the Westermann-Diesterweg Verlag.  Since then he has been training teachers around Germany in the use of Improvisation games in the classroom to train a new language.

Matthias Brandebusemeyer ist ein Kölner Improschauspieler und Trainer.

……. wurde aus bislang nicht geklärten Gründen 1968 in Kiel geboren. Über sein Comedy Duo „SammaWommaNomma“ gelang ihm Mitte der 90er die Flucht nach Hamburg, wo er sich jahrelang auf den Bühnen der „Schmidt´s Mitternachtsshow“ und dem „Quatsch Comedy Club“ verbarg.

Schließlich gelang ihm 2001 die Flucht nach Köln. Hier musste er, um nicht als Kieler aufzufallen, viel improvisieren. Zum Beispiel in der Improvisations- Gruppe „Die Frizzles“ und seit 2006 als ständiger Geheimtipp bei den „Improvisatoren.“ Parallel versteckt er sein Gesicht seit 18 Jahren als Autor und Sprecher hinter diversen Radio-Comedys und hinter dem Mikrofon der Live-Synchronisations- Impro-Show: „Dub TV“.

Jetzt kann man ihn finden: Als Impro Coach, der Interessierten beibringt, sich auch unter Wasser noch als Wüstenkönig zu tarnen. Er lehrt ebenfalls, wie man es schafft, auch als lebendig gewordener Baum noch ein Ticket für den Wiener Opernball zu bekommen. Nicht nur Kieler, auch andere Flüchtlinge, und seien sie Einheimische, sind herzlich willkommen.

Change

The world of theatre is a place of change.  Scenery, actors, costumes, lighting and even the audience change.  Change is the key to good theatre.  People who work in the theatre are used to this constant change. When you’re under the microscope your performance is everything.  You are scrutinised, surprised and analysed.  Daily your fears are confronted.   Creativity in finding solutions, courage in driving action and the ability to adapt to the changes that confront you on a day to day basis are paramount to creating the believability that is crucial in the world of theatre.
